Raymond Cordova, 60, Deming resident entered eternal rest Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will begin Wednesday afternoon, July 2, at 5 at Baca's Funeral Chapel with the prayer vigil to follow at 6 o'clock. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Thursday morning at 11 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Machado officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Raymond was born in Dwyer on September 7, 1953 to Manuel B. and Lorenza (Madrid) Cordova. He retired from the State Highway Department with 28 years of service. Raymond was a very caring, loving person. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Raymond will be deeply missed and forever loved.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Matilda Salinas Cordova; son, Adrian Cordova and wife Angelica of Deming; daughter, Maribel Cordova Denogean and husband Michael of Las Cruces; 7 beautiful grandchildren, Alissa, Franco, Fernando, Adrian Jr., Julissa, Javier and Abigail; 4 brothers, Jesse Cordova, Don Cordova, Albert Cordova and Danny Cordova; 5 sisters, Ruby Milo, Sandy Lee, Eva Carreon, Rose Mary Acosta, Clara Wyche and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel B. and Lorenza (Madrid) Cordova and his brother, Reynaldo Cordova.

Pallbearers will be Michael Denogean, Jessie, Albert, Danny, Adrian and Don Cordova. Honorary bears will be Richard Casillas and Guadalupe Salinas.
