Lucile Emily Brown, who lived at Kingdom of the Sun Retirement Center, passed away at home, July 15, 2014.

A Memorial service will be held Friday July 18, 2014 at 1 o'clock at the First United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at Fort Bayard National Cemetery at a later date.

Lucile was born March 27, 1929, to Myrl and Dorothea (Arnold) Baldwin in Town of Pomfret, Chautaugua County, New York State. She graduated from Fredonia High School class of l946. On September 3, 1948, she married Brownie in Fredonia, NY. They were married 65 years. Lucile was formerly a bank teller and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader and with the Mimbres Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband Waldo "Brownie" Brown moved to KOTS 14 years ago after RV traveling for 10 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Marian Nelsen and her brother, Norman Baldwin.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Mark Brown and wife Judy of Vidalia, Georgia; her daughter, Marcia Mallick of Baltimore, Maryland; 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; a brother David Baldwin and his wife, Kay of Fredonia; brother-in-law, Bruce Nelsen of Deming and numerous nieces and nephews.
