Adela D. Arellano, 69, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, August 06, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born April 9, 1945 in Silver City, NM to Gustavo B. and Maria Gandara Dominguez. Adela holds a very special place in the hearts of the DeLuna family as well as all the children she loved and cared for. She was considered mother and grandmother to many children. Adela was a precious woman. She had a huge sense of humor until the very end. Her love, endless charity and kindness have been a gift to her entire family. She will be missed beyond measure by all.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Arellano of Silver City; Alma Arellano of Silver City; three grandchildren, Krystal Estrada, Hyrum J. and Princess J. Gandara; two brothers, Antonio Dominguez of Glendale, AZ; Luis Dominguez and wife Molly of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Celia D. Leyba and husband Ramon of Silver City; brother-in-law, Johnny Arellano and wife Nerri of Silver City; their daughter, her niece, Irene Arellano; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Arthur D. Arellano ('12); one nephew, Ray Leyba.

Visitation will be Monday, August 11, from 9-10 am at Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. The Funeral Service will follow at 10 am with William Perkins officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Memory Lane cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry DeLuna, Richard "Richie" Gomez, Hyrum Gandara Jr., Michael DeLuna, Matthew Molano and Fabian Castañeda.
