Trinidad “Trini” B. Pacheco, 87, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, February 15, 2013 at his residence.  He was born November 10, 1925 to Julian and Trinidad (Baeza) Pacheco.  Trini was born near Columbus, NM.  Before reaching the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably on the USS Sibley in WWII.  After returning from the South Pacific, Trini married the former Helen Rascon and lived in Deming for several years.  He and Helen had four boys, Raymond, Carlos, Jaime and Daniel.  They ended up moving to Silver City in 1961.  Trini was in the lumber and hardware business for over 40 years.  He had the unique computational skills for estimating the amount of construction material needed for just about any home-based project.  He enjoyed the unique challenges of the industry as well as the opportunities presented by his many customers.  Trini also loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter until he could no longer make the long treks through the Grant County wilderness.  He is survived by his loving wife of 62yrs. Helen Pacheco of the family home; three sons, Ramon T. Pacheco and wife Cecilia of Silver City; Carlos D. Pacheco and wife Bernice of Bayard; Daniel F. Pacheco of Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren; twenty- four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jaime Pacheco (’05).  He will live in the memories of many generations of family as well as within the memories of countless Deming, Silver City and Grant County residents.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19th from 4-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the vigil service and holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Dr. Gilbert Arizaga reciting.  The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, February 20th at 10am at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Anthony Basso officiating.  Concluding service the interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery will full military honors.  Pallbearers will be Stephen, Joshua and Lawrence Pacheco, Joe Flores and Luis Terrazas Sr.  Honorary pallbearers will be John O’Dea and Benjamin Alvarado.  Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels “Trusted care for the ones you love” ~ 575-537-0777.  To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com.
