Rodolpho GǣRudyGǥ Martinez, democrat, announces his candidacy to run for NM House of Representatives-District 39. Martinez is a homegrown product of his district, and is seeking to regain his seat in the NM Legislature.

GǣThe people of District 39 deserve better representation,Gǥ Martinez said. During his tenure as a member of the House, he sponsored the bill which appropriated the funding to build the new Fort Bayard Medical Center- ensuring long-term care and jobs remain in his district. Martinez also sponsored legislation appropriating funds for training and development of primary care physicians in the communities he served so healthcare needs of rural communities would be met.

In order to support renewal energy source development- Martinez sponsored a bill indentifying benefits and barriers to developing renewable energy resources, to promote the development and use of renewable energy resources and associated transmission of electricity and providing groundwater to qualify as a geothermal resource.

Other areas of support were: Expand Rural Healthcare Tax Credits, Local Economic Development Project Entities, NMSU Water Resources Research Institute, WNMU Light Hall Renovation funding, Childhood Care Resource Program, Volunteer Firefighters Stipends, NM State Police Youth Academy, NM-Sonora Commission Act, WNMU Chicano & Chicana Institute, Hoisting Operators Safety Act, Military & Spouses Professional Licensure, NM Chile Advertising Act, Finance Authority bonds to support Hospitals, G
