mathysChris Mathys has announced his intention to run for Public Regulation Commission, District 5.

Chris is a Las Cruces businessman. He has been in working for over 30 years, holding real estate broker licenses in New Mexico, California, and Colorado. Chris Mathys truly understands the need for less government. Ronald Reagan once said “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'”

As a single father and with help from his parents Heidi and Guy, Chris Mathys raised his son Roman. They taught him that in America your opportunities are only limited by your dreams and hard work. Roman is currently in graduate school working on his MBA.

Chris is a U.S. Army Veteran. He enlisted in 1984 as an Armed Forces reporter and Spanish translator working at the U.S. Southern Command in Panama.

My Love for God, Country, Family, and adherence to the United States Constitution are the principles that we should demand from every elected Republican official.

I will publicly advocate for protecting our unborn children, our right to keep and bear arms, and our God given right to pray freely and openly and to always do what is morally right.

As Republicans, we are standing strong for republican values. Values that include a smaller government, less taxes, local control of schools, limited EPA regulation, and protection of private property rights.

Representing New Mexico’s families, businesses, farmers, and ranchers from utility monopolies will be my primary responsibility. I will create a monthly citizens' panel in each county in my district allowing New Mexicans to express concerns about PRC issues.
