My name is Francesca Estevez and I am proud to have announced my candidacy for the office of District Attorney for the Sixth Judicial District.
I promise you my integrity, commitment and tenacity in fulfilling the responsibilities of this office

I have practiced law for over 25 years, including 16 years as a prosecutor here in Grant County. As your District Attorney - serving all the residents of Luna, Grant and Hidalgo counties - I will continue to seek justice in a fair and impartial manner.
About Me
•    I am married to Gumersindo Estevez. We have three children and live in Gila, New Mexico.
•    I graduated from New York Law School in 1982
•    In 1995 I joined the Sixth Judicial District Attorney's office as the domestic violence prosecutor. I have prosecuted almost every kind of criminal case including murder/homicide, child abuse, rape, DWI, truancy, juvenile delinquency, property and white collar crimes. In 2007 I was named State of New Mexico Prosecutor of the Year.

Member of the Grant County Health Council for over 10 years
Member of the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Task Force

Member of the Sixth Judicial District Human Trafficking Task Force
Member of the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Legal Aid
Served as 0n the first Grant County DWI Task Force

Appointed by the New Mexico Supreme Court and served for on the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission
