Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) Board of Trustee Chair Jim Liedich has given the Grant County commissioners his letter of resignation. His letter stated, “It has been a pleasure to serve the hospital and its fine caregivers, as well as the people of Grant County these past eight years.”

It is anticipated that the Grant County Commissioners will formally accept the resignation at its regular meeting on May 9. In the meantime, the current Vice Chair Charles Kelly will serve as acting Chair of the Board. The County Commissioners will appoint a replacement of the open position during their June meeting.

Gila Regional wishes to extend its appreciation to Jim Liedich’s leadership for his many years of leadership.  The role of the Board is extremely important. The hospital’s board is appointed by the Grant County Commission to make sure the management is acting in the best interests of the people of Grant County. The board does this through its advisory and oversight roles.

Currently serving as Trustees at Gila Regional are Chair Charles Kelly, Secretary/Treasurer Pam Archibald, Roberto Carreon MD, Jeremiah Garcia, Robert Morales Sr,  and Darrick Nelson MD.
