National Trails Day was celebrated in Grant County on Saturday, June 1. A group organized a hike and bike ride on the Dragonfly Trail near Fort Bayard to look at petroglyphs and enjoy a warm day. At noon at the Cobre Fine Arts Center Theater, Dr. Richard Kozell presented a film and talked about fitness. Organizers, including Ali Jensen of Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities, expressed delight at the turnout for the hike and bicycle ride.
