Activities, demonstrations, lectures and workshops were taking place all over Silver City and Grant County on the Saturday of the CLAY Festival 2013.
Kids, young and old, played at the CLAYGround at the Yada Yada Yarn Portico, while right next door, the Farmer's Market featured a "Mud" Pie contest.
Judges Tanner Thetford, David DelJunco and Patrick Hoskins dug into and chose the winning pies.
The Black Walnut, Hazelnut, Cream Cheese and Bacon Pie by Sue Been took first place.
The Blueberry Chocolate Pie by Nick Seibel took second place.
And a Shaker Lemon Pie by Eliza Cain took third.
The pie that came in fourth was an Ancient Volcanic Gila Mud Pie by Sheila Menzies.
