FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

.A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WITH A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS
SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON. AS A
RESULT MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL FALL ACROSS THE SACRAMENTO
MOUNTAINS AND THE GILA WILDERNESS REGION. DANGEROUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO ICY ROADS....LOW VISIBILITIES FROM
SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...AND COLD TEMPERATURES.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EL PASO TX/SANTA TERESA HAS
ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY
EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.


* EVENT: MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WITH TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS AROUND 4
  TO 8 INCHES.

* TIMING:SNOW WILL BEGIN AT AROUND 8000 FEET FRIDAY EVENING WITH
  SNOW LEVELS FALLING TO NEAR 5000 FEET BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.
  SNOW INTENSITIES WILL BE MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY UNTIL
  AROUND 9 AM SATURDAY WITH THE SNOW DIMINISHING IN THE LATE
  MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACT: ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND SLIPPERY...MAINLY ABOVE
  6000 FEET. VISIBILITIES WILL FALL TO LESS THAN A MILE OVER SOME
  AREAS FROM SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. THUS SOME ROAD CLOSURES MAY
  OCCUR.

* WINDS: WEST WINDS FROM 10 TO 15 MPH FRIDAY NIGHT WILL INCREASE
  TO AROUND 20 TO 30 MPH AFTER SUNRISE SATURDAY MORNING.
