In spite of a low voter turnout of 9.2 percent in the Silver City Municipal Election, two contested races and a ballot question brought results.
 
The unofficial results of the uncontested races show Michael Shawn Morones receiving 817 votes to become mayor.  District 4 councilor-elect isGuadalupe "Lupe" Cano, who received 103 votes.
 
District 2 councilor will be Lynda D. Aiman-Smith, who defeated her opponent Rebecca A. Spann by a vote of 207-84.
 
Municipal Judge Sonya Ruiz will retain her judgeship, as she defeated her opponent Benny G. Montes by 430-254. 
 
Voters approved by a vote of 477-218 the ballot question: Shall Town continue .125% Municipal Infrastructure Gross Receipts Tax solely for Public Safety?
