Las Cruces: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is conducting bridge maintenance on NM-187 at Kings Canyon Bridge mile marker 30.9. The bridge has experienced some minor damage that will require the NMDOT to perform repair work.

Currently there will be NO access over the bridge on NM-187 as it is CLOSED in order for work to commence, and for the safety of the traveling public. The closure will be lifted once the work is completed and the bridge has been inspected by department personnel. Detours are located on NM-187/Las Polomas (mile marker 33) and at the KOA on NM-187 (mile marker 24). Additional notices are posted at the Hillsboro junction of NM-152 and NM-187. Local resident will have full access along this roadway.
