As preparation for Comcast Cares Day on Saturday, April 26, kids, old and young, were invited to create tiles, which will be installed at the Silver City Rec Center. Diana Ingalls-Leyba, who offered the L&I Arts facility for the project, said the theme was Playful Gardens, and would feature silhouette tiles of area students, as well as a garden as the base of the mural. Artist Jun Chen oversaw the activities in the window room, where passers-by could watch the action and come in to make a tile themselves.
