Situation: Crews from the USDA Forest Service are responding to a fire on Signal Peak. At this time, the Signal Peak Lookout and while the fire is burnig on the Gila National Forest, several private residences nearby have been evacuated. The fire has crossed Meadow Creek and is on both sides of Signal Peak Road. Highway 15 has been closed north of Silver City to Lake Roberts due to firefighter and emergency traffic. Smoke is highly visible from Silver City and the surrounding area. Lookout and private residents in area being evacuated. Numerous resources being ordered. Fire has crossed Meadow Creek and is on both sides of Signal Peak Road.
