Situation: New Mexico State Forestry and US Forest Service crews are responding to a wildfire on the Alegres Ranch, southwest of Datil in Catron County. In addition to State Forestry and USFS engines, crews include two single engine air tankers and a team of smoke jumpers.The fire is moving slowly thanks to some recent light precipitation, however a ranch home approximately 1/4 mile away is threatened.
