* At 1253 Pm Mdt...National Weather Service Doppler Radar Indicated
Thunderstorms With Heavy Rainfall Across The Advisory Area. Doppler
Radar Estimated Rainfall Of Up To 1.5 Inches Over Westerly Slopes
Of The Black Range On The Silver Fire Burn Scar...And 0.5 To 1.0
Inches Of Rainfall Near Pinos Altos And White Signal.

Gila Hot Springs...

Runoff From This Excessive Rainfall Will Cause Flooding Along Small
Streams And Normally Dry Arroyos. Low Lying Areas And Low Water
Crossings Are Also Likely To Have Areas Of Flooding...Especially Along
State Roads 35 And 61 From Sapillo Campground To Faywood And State
Road 15 From Just North Of Cherry Creek Campground To Silver City.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

In Hilly Terrain There Are Hundreds Of Low Water Crossings Which Are
Potentially Dangerous In Heavy Rain. Do Not Attempt To Travel Across
Flooded Roads. It Only Takes A Few Inches Of Swiftly Flowing Water To
Carry Vehicles Away.
