Silver City's Clay Festival continued Thursday, with four workshops and some youth activities, as well as various clay artwork displays around town. The Mata Ortiz Pottery workshop is easily visible, since it is being held under tents in the front of the Syzygy tile store Thursday and Friday. By midafternoon today, participants had finished handbuilding their pots, which were slowly drying under cover, while they sanded and buffed pre-made pots in preparation for decorating.
