Adam Martinez, who escaped from Grant County Detention Center on September 11, 2014, was captured at 1:15 p.m. today.  After he is medically cleared, he will be taken back into custody.  For security reasons, we cannot disclose where he will be housed at this time.  The Grant County Manager's office would like to thank all agencies involved for assisting in the capture of Martinez.

UPDATE: Tyler Cole, the other inmate who escaped, has also been taken into custody. Both were discovered missing about 10 p.m. last Thursday.

Sheriff Raul Villanueva said his office is working on a media release with more details. 

According to an alert received by this reporter, roads and streets in the Ridge Road area have been re-opened for public use.
