(Silver City, NM)—The Grant County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, Adam BB Martinez, who had escaped from the Grant County Detention Center on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, was hiding at a residence on Mountain View Drive. The Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Silver City Police Department, U.S. Marshall's Office, New Mexico State Police, Luna County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Forest Service, all surrounded the residence. After an hour of negotiating with Martinez, they were able to get him out of the residence without incident. Martinez was then taken into custody.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., the Sheriff's Office received information that the other escapee, Tyler Cole, was hiding out at a residence on 8th Street in Silver City. After a struggle with law enforcement, Cole was taken into custody.
