(Silver City, NM)—On September 24, 2014 at approximately 2:01 pm, deputies with the Grant County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the area of Main Street in Pinos Altos, NM in reference to an aggravated battery complaint. On deputies arrival it was found Michael Coffelt 69 years of age had been beaten by an unknown subject. The victim was transported to Gila Regional Medical Center where he is in intensive care.
