At the Cliff-Gila Grant County Fairgrounds on Thursday, fair activities were in full swing. Judging took place in the exhibit barn, and young men and women showed their pigs for judging in the showring. Several of the youths had their cheering sections for when they won a first, second or third place. Elementary school students from Cobre and Silver schools traveled through the animal areas to look at bunnies, chickens, pigs, goats, sheep and steers. The smells of cooking food drew people around lunch-time. Vendors showed off their wares.

The fair continues Friday and Saturday, so residents and visitors still have time to watch all the fun and activity.
