Saturday, Oct. 4 was a happening day in Pinos Altos. The October Fiesta, a fundraiser for the Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department brought folks out to browse the vendors and have beer and bratwurst. The Gran Fondo bicycle race fundraiser for the Tour of the Gila had its finish line on Main Street, so bicyclists, who completed the 32-, 70- and 105-mile races could be seen cooling down from the race. And visitors also had the chance to see the paintings and winners of the Grant County Art Guild Purchase Prize Show at the Hearst Gallery.
