Robbery #1:
On October 22, 2014, at about 7:55am, a resident in the 300 block of N. Arizona, in Silver City, called to report a robbery, which had just occurred at his residence. According to information, the 88-year-old male victim heard a knock at his door and when he opened the door, a person with a mask attacked him and robbed him of his wallet which contained $280.

The robbery suspect was wearing a mask at the time of the incident. The victim described the suspect as possibly a white male, approximately 5'8", weighting approximately 180 to 185 pounds, possibly having facial hair which he described as a beard, but not a full beard, a tattoo on one arm, however, the victim could not describe the tattoo and could not say which arm. The victim said the suspect brandished a knife which he described as a hunting type knife, but could not describe the color or length of the knife.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $750 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 575-538-5254. Callers can remain anonymous

Robbery #2:
On October 20, 2014, at about 12:20pm, a 23-year-old male victim called to report a robbery which had occurred about 20 minutes earlier near the TGI Yogurt, which is located at 801 N. Hudson Street, in Silver City.

According to the victim, He was standing outside TGI Yogurt smoking a cigarette when a Hispanic male who was standing on the south side of the building called him over and asked him for a cigarette. The victim said the suspect asked if he had any money and then pulled out a knife, which he described as a black folding knife with a three-to-four-inch blade, and told the victim to give him the money. The victim gave the suspect approximately $35.00. The victim said the suspect then left walking south on Hudson Street.

The suspect is described as a dark-complected Hispanic male in his early forties, brown eyes, with a mustache which was described as not real full but pointed up at the ends, about 5'6" to 5'7" in height, and weighting about 120 to 130 pounds. The suspect has black collar-length hair which was covered by a grey bandana, which had a tear drop design on it. The victim said the hair appeared to be dirty. The victim said the suspect had old pimple-like scarring on his face. The suspect was wearing a green camouflage jacket, which might have had some patches on the sleeves. The patches might have had some red in them. The suspect was also wearing green camouflage pants with big pockets. The victim described the clothing as dirty.
