Las Cruces - The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One office has made the necessary roadway repairs throughout NM 152 that was initially closed due to flooding in September of 2014.

The NMDOT has lifted the closure for NM 152 in Kingston as crew members have repaired various sections of the roadway in order to have it passable and safe for the traveling public. However, the NMDOT will need to continue with minor repair work along the shoulders on NM 152, which will occur over the next several weeks. As work progresses motorist may encounter intermittent lane closures and reduction of speed within the work zone.

The NMDOT encourages motorists and cyclists to proceed with caution as loose gravel still remain on various sections along this route and to obey all traffic notifications and speed limits especially as workers continue work on NM 152 and in any work zone."

Notifications and closures will be posted and updated on the NMDOT road and travel advisory website at the http://nmroads.com/
