From left are Scott Terry of the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Michael Humphries, Abe Villarreal, two of the winners of the Santa Treasure Hunt, and Lucy Whitmarsh of Silver City MainStreet. Vanessa Stroman was unavailable for the photo.

This was the first year for the Silver City Radio - Silver City Daily Press MainStreet Santa's Treasure Hunt. From the number of calls about the contest, it was successful. If you don't believe the Chamber of Commerce,  you can ask Michael Humphries, Vanessa Stroman, or Abe Villarreal. The three decided to put their heads together to find the treasure, and they did.

Michael and Abe received the $500 worth of MainStreet Gift Certificates for finding Santa's Treasure. Hopefully they will split the certificates with Vanessa.

Several businesses donated the money to purchase the $500 worth of certificates. The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce wishes to say THANK YOU to:
Gallery 400 & Gila House, Humphrey's Enterprises, Gila Hike & Bike, The Marketplace / Variety Store, The Rock Center, The Jewelry Lady, Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery, Custom Steelworks, Morones and Knuttinen LLC, Silver City MainStreet. And our title sponsors: Silver City Radio and Silver City Daily Press.

The treasure was found on the east side of the Old Elks Lodge on Texas Street between Market and Yankie streets.
