Southern New Mexico Tonight And Friday Morning Bringing Periods Of
Moderate To Brief Heavy Snows To The Higher Mountain Areas. Most
Of The Snow Will Fall Over The Gila Wilderness Area And The
Sacramento Mountains With 3 To 5 Inches Falling Above 7000 Feet
And 1 To 3 Inch Amounts Over The Lower Elevations. Hazardous
Driving Conditions Are Expected Due To Icy Roads And Low

The National Weather Service In El Paso Tx/santa Teresa Has
Issued A Winter Weather Advisory For Heavy Snow Which Is In
Effect From 10 Pm This Evening To 6 Am Mst Friday.

* Event: Periods Of Moderate To Brief Heavy Snows With 3 To 5 Inch
Accumulations Above 7000 Feet With 1 To 3 Inches Lower
Elevations.

* Timing: The Snow Will Begin Late This Evening And Continue
Through Early Friday Morning With Most Of The Snow Ending By
Sunrise.

* Impact: Dangerous Travel Conditions Due To Icy Slippery Roads
And Visibilities Occasionally Falling Below A Mile.

* Winds:west Winds Will Blow From 10 To 20 Mph During The Heavier
Snows.

* Snow Levels: Heavier Snows Should Remain Above 6000 Feet.
