The New Mexico Department of Transportation reports most roads are open and clear, but caution is still requested because of some areas of snow-packed and icy, as well as some that have wet and slick conditions.

The National Weather Service In El Paso Tx/santa Teresa Has
Issued A Winter Weather Advisory For Heavy Snow Which Is In
Effect From 6 Am To 6 Pm Mst Friday.

* Event: Light To Moderate Snow Of 1 To 3 Inches. Higher Amounts
Possible Over The Higher Peaks Of The Black Range And Gila
Wilderness Area.

* Timing: Light To Moderate Snow Will Begin Around Midnight And
Continue Through Friday Afternoon. Most Of The Heavier Snow
Will End Friday Evening.

* Impact: Heavy Snow Could Make Driving Hazardous And May Close
Some Roads. Occasional Low Visibilities May Also Occur During
This Time.

* Winds: Mostly Northeast 10 To 20 Mph.

* Snow Levels: All Elevations Will Be Cold Enough For Snow.
