The Fort Bayard Restoration and Development Coalition hosted a dance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe during World War II. World War II veterans were honored. The Big Band on the Rio Grande provided the 1930s and '40s dancing music, and those attending danced of the floor of the flag-draped Santa Clara National Guard Armory. PNM had provided flags, personnel and equipment to hang the flags.
