On Saturday, May 16, 2015 the Mimbres-Paquime Connection Partners met in Silver City to discuss ways to promote cultural tourism and the resulting economic benefits in the corridor that begins at the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument and ends in Mexico at the Paquime Cultural Museum and Archeological Site, and the communities of Nuevo Casas Grandes and Mata Ortiz.

The visitors were introduced to what Downtown Silver City has to offer for those traveling between the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the Paquime Archeological Zone. The introduction to Silver City started with a visit to the Visitor Center located at 201 N. Hudson Street followed by a walk through historic downtown Silver City.
