The owner of the Army Store and More on N. Bullard Street told Silver City police officers, the morning of June 24, that someone broke into his store the night before and that several items were missing. The items included $200 from the cash drawer, four fixed blade knives with sheaths, two cameras, six pocket knives, and three flak jackets. Total value of the missing items, less the cash, was estimated at $370.

Officers noticed footprints with a checkered pattern leading to and from the damaged back door where entry had been gained. Another door on the north side of the building had also been damaged where, the incident report stated, "they had attempted to gain entry but didn't."

According to the SCPD, the investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
