It is called the Inman Fire and officials have decided it will be managed for resource objectives. The fire is located three miles northwest of Lookout Mountain and is estimated 10 acres.

The objectives managers have identified for the incident include allowing natural fire to resume its role as a disturbance factor in the ecosystem and reducing the potential for high severity wildfires in future years. There are 25 personnel assigned to the incident. They will continue to prepare areas along the Continental Divide Trail and improve existing firelines within the pre-determined management area.

Officials analyzed many elements before deciding to manage the Inman Fire for resource objectives. These factors included firefighter and public safety, resource availability, location, time of year, current and forecast weather, and smoke impacts.

The Pinon Fire (3,305 acres) on the Reserve Ranger District and the Moore Fire (3,670 acres) on the Wilderness Ranger District have not grown in several days as occasional showers continue to fall on these areas. A chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms remains in the forecast.
