Gila Regional Medical Center presented year pins to 29 recipients who in 2014 had worked at the hospital for five years; and to 32 who have reached the five-year mark in 2015.

Ten-year pins were awarded to 23 who achieved the milestone in 2014 and to 17 who reached it in 2015.

Fifteen-year pins went to five who reached the years of service at GRMC in 2014, and to 15 who reached the mark in 2015.

Those who received the 20-year service pins and a certificate totaled six in 2014 and an additional six in 2015.

Seven had worked at GRMC for 25 years in 2014, and another three reached the goal in 2015.

One each in 2014 and 2015 had served at GRMC for 30 years.

Thirty-five years of service awards went to two in 2014 and four in 2015.

One woman has worked at GRMC for 40 years, as of 2015.

One hundred fifty-two names were called out by Howie Morales of the Gila-Reach Committee, including his, for his five years serving at GRMC. Many were working on their shifts or out of town, but quite a few received their awards in person.

"This is a fun event to be part of each year," GRMC Chief Executive Officer Brian Cunningham said. "It's all about your caregivers and your ongoing commitment to bring passion to Gila Regional Medical Center."

GRMC Chaplain Bill Holguin began his blessing, asking for a moment of silence for all the workers over the years at GRMC who have passed on.

He said the awards were given in gratitude. "May your quality of work inspire us for our future work."
