Grant County 4-H held their county indoor contests on June 9, 2015 at Stout Elementary. There were quite a few 4-H participants who competed in the various contests such as livestock judging, sewing, public speaking, demonstrations and a horticulture contest. Contestants were challenged with plant, fruit and vegetable identification for the horticulture contest and future public speakers were competing with "impromptu" topics, as well as prepared speeches and demonstrations.

Livestock judgers place a class of animals such as pigs, goats, lambs and steers for breeding or market quality.

The county shooting sports contests were held in mid-April for senior level 4-Hers and June 2, for novice and junior level. These contests include small bore .22 rifle and archery competition for all levels, novice through senior, and shotgun for seniors.

The awards for the county contest were announced at the annual 4-H pool party. All who attended the potluck and cool down time seemed to enjoy themselves immensely.
We would like to thank all of our judges and volunteers who give so generously of their time and expertise to make this possible.
