KouryGila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) is pleased to announce that Gregory Koury, MD, who serves as GRMC Chief of Staff, was named President of the NM Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians (NMAFP).

The NMAFP is the medical specialty association for Family Physicians in New Mexico and is the largest medical specialty association in the state, with over 850 members. Dr. Koury, who practices in Silver City, said, "It is truly an honor to serve this prestigious group. NMAFP has long been one of the premiere professional family medicine organizations in the state and it has distinguished itself as a catalyst to develop partnerships, share knowledge, and bring together physicians, staff members and other professionals to demonstrate strength and determination as we move forward in this ever changing healthcare environment."
