On June 23, 2015 at about 3:06 P.M., Grant County Sheriff €™s Deputies responded to the Cliff High School in reference to a Criminal Damage complaint. Employees reported that someone had damaged the main sign and marquee for the Cliff School located at 622 New Mexico Highway 211 in Cliff New Mexico. The sign/marquee is approximately 4 feet by 6 feet €”consisting of large plastic-material panels with the school name on the upper section and letter board below. Six holes were broken through the east facing side. It appears that the suspect(s) threw rocks at the sign. Cost to repair this damage is over $3,000.

During the same time, two large flood lights were internationally broken at 8399 US Highway 180 West, which is near the area of the school. They were broken apparently by the same means.

On July 12, 2015 at about 7:59 A.M., Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 11781 Highway 180 East (Mountain Right Feed Store) in reference to a Stolen Vehicle complaint. Upon arrival it was reported that a gate on the west end of the property was open. When they were attempting to close the gates, they noticed that their Sand Rail that was parked in the hay barn was missing. Value of the custom built Sand Rail is estimated at $15,000. The Sand Rail is described as a manual transmission, Yellow in color, four door, has an Arizona Plate of CMC5X2. This is a custom-built machine with lights and windshield.
