To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, two Mariachi performances were held Saturday at the Western New Mexico University Fine Arts Center Theater.

The theme was Celebrating the unity of cultures through the universal language of music.

George Mesa was presented with an award for his support of the program for 16 years.

The performances were a benefit for the Forgotten Veterans Memorial Park.
