According to the appreciated anonymous photographer, the only obvious change he noticed this weekend was the rock or gravel bed at the end of the north side of the bridge. A part of the drainage system, the riprap will drain water away from the bridge.

More obvious changes will be seen begnning Tuesday, Sept. 22, when the first 96-foot long and 108-foot long girders will begin to arrive. Girders will continue to arrive daily Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 26 and the next week from Sept. 28 through Oct. 2. Huge cranes will maneuver them into place atop the piers.
