On October 26, 2015, the Bayard City Council held its regular meeting. Mayor Charles L. Kelly, Councilor Chon Fierro, Councilor Zeke Santa Maria, and Councilor Raul Villanueva were present for the meeting.

The counsel approved things on their agenda.

All items on the consent agenda were approved, which included:
€¢ minutes of Regular Meeting of October 13, 2015;
€¢ accounts payable for October 26, 2015;
€¢ the Clerk's Report for October 2015;
€¢ the Police Report for September 2015;
€¢ the attendance to the budget workshop in Albuquerque on November 19-20, 2015 for Kristy Ortiz and Mary Binder.

Other business included:

Approval to make the Veteran's Park a priority for the next year funding cycle. (Note: Staff will look into possible funding sources)

Approval of award of the welcome sign construction contract to New World Building for a total of $42,500, excluding gross receipts tax.
€¢ The sign will be constructed at the triangle area by Blake's Lotaburger.

Approval to vacate an easement located on the Villegas property on the corner of McKee and Erie Street.
€¢ Property owners have not installed fencing around the property
€¢ owners do not agree on all of the clean-up/improvements.

Approval of the intent to adopt for the 2015 Uniform Traffic Code Updates - as approved during the 2015 Legislative Session.

Izaiah Herrera -
Approval of taking Izaiah Herrera off introductory status to regular full time effective October 31 with a $.25 per hour increase.

The next meeting will be held on November 9, 2015.
