The Beat's anonymous photographer went by Friday to see what progress was made in two days and "it's amazing" he said. "They are getting as much as possible done before the weather hits and the time is gone. They have just about finished the west side of the bridge pouring concrete."

"This concrete pouring is another amazing thing to me," the photographer opined. "Suffice it to say this is the first time I have witnessed it. I have learned a lot about bridge engineering from this. Very interesting. Anybody in Silver City and surroundings that isn't interested in this is missing out."

The Beat thanks him for his photography and his comments. He said he would try to stop by Monday to check if they had finished the concrete pouring.
