Silver City police officers were dispatched to Walmart on Friday, Dec. 11, at about 3:26 p.m., where, according to a news release, an employee stated that three individuals shoplifted two Samsung smart televisions. When she attempted to stop the thieves, she told police, one pushed her out of the way and threatened her with a blue-handled knife with a three-inch blade. The televisions were valued at $3,360.

Officers were advised, the release said, that the two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female loaded the televisions into the trunk of an older-model, silver-colored Mazda and left east on Highway 180 toward Arenas Valley.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Silver City Police Department at 575-538-3723, ext. 1233.
