Cobre's board meeting, held at the District Office in Bayard, opened with four members attending; Frank Gomez, Frances Kelly, Frank Cordova and Toy Sepulveda, president. The public meeting began at 7:25, and as Sepulveda explained, the earlier executive session began at 6:04, where they discussed student identifiable information, limited personnel and the superintendent's contract extension.

Cordova explained that in the closed session, he had made a motion to table the action on the extension of the superintendent's contract; Kelly said later that there was some minor wording that needed to be changed before the item would be considered final. It would likely be brought up again on the February agenda. Sepulveda agreed.

No comments were made during the public input period. Superintendent Robert Mendoza asked that item D under Administration be allowed to move to first position for the benefit of Mike Stone of Stone/McGee & Company, who was there to report on the audit for the year of 2014-2015. McGee mentioned his recent bout with a physical problem and thanked the board for its consideration.

His report was brief; he mentioned the exit conference. While the figures had been turned in to the State last October, he said nothing more could be done until the State released the report, which was recently. He had given Cobre an unmodified opinion on both the figures at the back of the book, and on the figures concerning the use of federal funds. There were no comments and no recommendations; it was as clean and concise as a report could beG
