The Silver City Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred in the 1900 block of Trapper Rd. on Feburary 2, at about 7:53pm.
A white male, 36 years of age, died of a gunshot wound to the head. The preliminary investigations indicates the wound may have been self-inflicted. The body has been sent off to the OMI in Albuquerque for autopsy. The investigation is continuing into the incident.
