Personnel from the Gila National Forest held an informational meeting Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at the Grant County Administration Center to talk about a proposed prescribed burn in the Cameron Creek area.
Leo Trujillo, assistant fire management officer on the Silver Ranger District, led the meeting.
He described the proposed burn as encompassing 2,010 acres in the Fort Bayard Management Area. The area is home to about 200 elk and many Coue's and mule deer.
