Brown Fire: The bosque/grass fire southeast of Socorro has burned an estimated 175 acres, of which 15 acres were on state land and the remainder on private. No structures have been threatened. With reduced wind speeds and good progress with suppression operations, resources anticipate full containment this evening. Unless there are significant changes to fire behavior, this will be the final notification.

Dump Fire: A grass fire has been reported north of Santa Clara in Grant County on federal land. An estimated 5-10 acres have burned. Ft. Bayard Hospital, Old Fort Bayard, and the Village of Santa Clara on the south side of Highway 180 are considered threatened. Multiple local and federal resources have responded.
