Silver City, NM (May 7, 2016) - Riders and staff of the Canadian team Silber Pro Cycling are asking for competitors and the of Tour of the Gila to help donate to those suffering from the wild fires in Alberta, Canada.

Staff and riders offered winnings from Stage 2 of the Tour of Alberta and their sponsors - Arthur Silber, Mandevco Properties, Hamelin J Industries, and Toguri Training Systems - rounded up the donation to the Canadian Red Cross to offer $1,000.

GǣWhen we race our bikes, we see gorgeous terrains and places. We also have the privilege of meeting people who live in communities that support cycling and all the health and economic benefits the sport offers.

Yesterday, the team saw coverage of the fires currently ravaging Fort McMurray, Alberta and wanted to offer support to the people living there. It makes sense: We race in the Tour of Alberta and want to show support for the generous communities throughout the province, especially those going through hard times in Fort McMurray.Gǥ
