The Downtown Criterium kept people downtown for much of the day. At about 3 p.m., a champagne celebration was held to honor Jack Brennan the long-time race director and to celebrate the Tour of the Gila's 30th anniversary from its first small start. How it has grown.
It is now a destination bicycle race for teams from all over the world.
