Grant County Clerk Robert Zamarripa told the Beat today that the county has 21,901 registered voters. Of those 12,124 are registered as Democrats; 5,462 as Republicans, and 4,315 as decline to state or minor party affiliation.

"Since I've been clerk, we've held at between 21,300 and 21,600 registered voters," Zamarripa said. "However, this year, we had more than 300 brand new registrations for this election. We're close to 22,000."
