Gila Regional Medical Center Board of Trustee members approved the fiscal year 2017 draft budget at their meeting Friday, May 20, 2016.

Preceding the approval of "State of New Mexico-Gila Regional Medical Center/Grant County resolution No. 2016-2" [07/1/16-06/30/17], Chief Financial Officer Mike Metts said a Wednesday meeting of the Finance Committee had a detailed discussion and recommended the budget be approved.

"The bottom line at the end of the year is estimated to be $37,000," Metts said. "The budget is $2.2 million over the current fiscal year."

Chairman Charles Kelly said it is a conservative budget. "Personally, I am ready for it to go to the state."
