Black Lake Fire: A fire burned a half-acre of private land located approximately two miles northwest of Black Lake in Colfax County. Use of fireworks caused the fire. Resources were able to protect a threatened structure. As of yesterday evening the fire is 100% contained. This is the final notification.

Chamita Fire: A fire burned 1.5 acres near Chamita in Rio Arriba County. The fire was on state trust land that is surrounded by tribal land. It has been fully contained. This is the final notification.

Dog Head Fire: The Type III team continues to manage this fire on federal and tribal lands in Torrance County, but the incident will transition to Type II management later today. The incident command post is at the Estancia High School. A public meeting will take place at 7:00 PM this evening at a location to be determined. No changes to the fire's size or activity have been reported.

Escondida Fire: The Escondida Fire in Socorro County is 85% contained. Remaining resources are suppressing a few remaining hotspots.

Flag Day Fire: A fire occurred last night on private land near Ojo Caliente in Taos County. Local resources were able to contain the fire. State resources are en route to the site to complete mop up and conduct a GPS analysis to determine the fireG
